I Read an Apple Flower

I read an apple flower.

I eat words others have read.

I vomit the result: I interpret

I still have to read more, devour more, vomit more.

My bulimia can barely embarrass me no longer.

  1. A darker turn towards the end of quite a discretely satisfying poem. If I could suggest anything it’d be to trim the lines, make it shorter. Just as an example: I still have to read, devour, vomit and My bulimia can embarrass me no longer.

These are simple suggestions, but by trimming the lines the words have greater impact. I.e, they’re not bogged down by unnecessary filler.

This is of course personal preference, aha. Take what I say with a pinch of salt. It’s your poem.
